Dune Dumas is a multi-skilled artist.  He is a painter of Pop Art, a singer-songwriter of Pop Rock, a sculptor of wood and marble, and of course being so creative, an inventor, with a lot of ideas to market.
And besides his recording studio, opened to other artists, he eventually makes his own guitars.

His painting with strong and lively colors, free of any school, is a tribute to joy and to life. When he paints, he, above all, "makes himself images of beauty", so dearly that he is often reluctant to part with them, just for simple usual daily strongly vanishing, highly evaporative ultra volatile money. He also works on order, eventually from photographs. He, in fact, spent a year in Stockholm Art School but refuses any dogmatism.

His music is equally powerful and colourful. Singer-songwriter, composer, graduate arranger. He plays guitar, although being quite multi-instrumentalist. He was taught into the blues in England in the early 70's by purist friends, listening to 1920's recordings of earliest tincan banging "orchestrated" convict chants. The 3,5 years he then spent in the UK are surely responsible for his Brit. Pop Rock music style. He is looking for a business deal.

Sculpture is before all, for him, a tactile and sensuous pleasure, a carnal adventure with matter, its plastic, mass, grain, warmth, bounce, how it chips or slices, smells, how it rings, chinks, whispers, well... lives!

 

 

 

One step away from sculpture is jewelry ( just a difference of size ? ) that he made when the occasion was given to him to join the Handcraft Goldsmith Workshop of Bengt LILJEDAHL and Urban BOLIN, Snickarbacken 1, in STOCKHOLM where he met again, with great pleasure, with the pureness of lines of Scandinavian modern Art. He learnt there how to raise the metal with a hammer particularly, as well as all the bases of the craftsmanship to get soon to realize his own creations ( exported  to the US ) and even bring new developments to the craft, copied by others later.

 

 

Other than house carpentry and classical furniture, he also designed and realized modern furniture, still with the same pureness of lines.

 

 

 

His very fertile imagination combined with his math-science education, brings new ideas to him daily, obviously less simple to spread than to conceive, and they remain unexploited as they are too numerous. Investors, industrials, dried up designers, and puzzled politicians welcome! As a matter of fact, he, as a gifted person, is a member of MENSA.

 

 

The "Studio des Étoiles", his own personal countryside daylight recording studio is available to other artists at friendly prices ( 16 tracks 1' analogue machine, 32/16/8/2 mixer, FX, instruments, synthes, DAT, computer, CD recorder...and now complete digital set up ). His knowledge of acoustics, physics and electronics combined with his own artistic experience makes him a good engineer.
